Matt Cardona is now teasing that his rumored WWE return could be as part of the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
Cardona was released from WWE in April 2020 and has become a mainstay on the independent scene, holding multiple titles in several promotions.
The former NWA World Heavyweight Champion has teased returning to WWE in recent weeks under the company’s new regime.
On Twitter, Cardona shared an image of his name in the classic Royal Rumble font, adding the caption ‘BUZZER SOUND.’

The 2023 Royal Rumble will take place on January 28th at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
