Will WWE bring back Zack Ryder? If so, it won’t be Matt Cardona portraying the character.
In 2020, Cardona’s time as Ryder came to an end with his release, and the former U.S. Champion has found success in the NWA, Impact Wrestling, and other smaller promotions.
Recently, WWE filed a trademark for the Zack Ryder name, fueling speculation that Cardona could return to the company now that he is a more serious star.
On Twitter, Cardona joked that WWE will bring in another talent to portray Zack Ryder as it won’t be him.
Smart. Gotta protect us ECW Originals. https://t.co/pVCSrhOUmy

Is there going to be a fake Zack Ryder? Like the fake Razor and Diesel???

Ryder’s name was also trademarked alongside Ezekiel Jackson, the final WWE ECW Champion, which also got a response from Cardona.
After Scott Hall and Kevin Nash left WWE for WCW in 1996, their characters (Razor Ramon and Diesel) were given to other talents.
The late Rick Bognar played Ramon, while Glenn Jacobs would don the role of Diesel, before re-debuting as Kane in October 1997.
In a recent appearance on the “Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast, Cardona recalled Vince McMahon’s initial perception of him. He also reflected on his Intercontinental Championship win at WrestleMania 32. You can check out the article here.
