Stokely Hathaway got absolutely destroyed by HOOK earlier this month, and The Firm’s Matt Hardy claims Ethan Page will certainly avenge Hathaway.

HOOK defeated Stokely in a No Disqualification match on the March 22nd episode of AEW Dynamite and completely brutalized The Firm’s manager in the process.

On the latest edition of his “The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast, Matt Hardy noted that it is now up to Page to avenge Hathaway, who will allegedly be on the sidelines for “five to six weeks” at least.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On Hathaway’s match with HOOK: “Sometimes you just gotta let it play out. I got in that match with HOOK, and I didn’t want to disappoint them. I didn’t want to become injured and not be able to wrestle and earn The Firm money, so I had to tap out quick. I couldn’t risk getting injured, there’s so many injuries going around currently in wrestling as it is. Sure, that meant Stokely had to wrestle HOOK, and poor Stokely, he’s gonna be out five to six weeks at a minimum, they said. At minimum, he’s gonna be out five to six weeks. So now that my dear friend Stokely has been taken off the chess board, he’s has been deleted, so to say, considering he’s gone now, I think Ethan has to really avenge him. It was just a travesty and a tragedy, and we can’t let HOOK get away with what he did to Stokely.”

On his plan for Page to get revenge on HOOK: “I’m gonna make sure to get HOOK’s name on the line. I’ve got his real shoot name, and I’ve got Ethan Page’s name on there. I’m gonna throw a couple bonuses in there for Ethan, just to make it all the more special. It’s really going to be a monumental occasion when Ethan avenges Stokely.”
