Matt Hardy isn’t thrilled with missing out on the chance to become an AEW World Tag Team Champion.

On last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, the Bucks dethroned Jurassic Express to become the first two-time AEW World Tag Team Champions in a ladder match.

Hardy had been scheduled to compete in the match with his brother Jeff, and at one point had been scheduled to win the titles.

The pair were pulled following Jeff’s DUI arrest, his third within ten years.

On The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Matt admitted to being envious that he wasn’t in the match:

“I was very envious and disappointed that I wasn’t out in front of that St. Louis crowd participating in this ladder match. I was very proud of the work the Young Bucks and Jurassic Express both did in that match and the shocking Christian heel turn after the match was a nice cherry on top.”

AEW has suspended Jeff Hardy without pay and he will only be welcomed back if he can prove his sobriety.
