Matthew Rehwoldt (former WWE Superstar Aiden English) recently spoke with Steve Fall of “The Ten Count” podcast about how Triple H would hype up the NXT locker room and reminisced on his time as part of The Vaudevillains in NXT.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On Triple H motivating the NXT roster: “He would give us those ‘rah-rah’ speeches before NXT TakeOvers, and especially when we started doing them on the road, like that first Brooklyn we did before SummerSlam. He gave us a big speech, like the old, ‘Make them follow that.’”

On NXT talent moving up to WWE at the time: “It really is a talent-by-talent thing. Because I don’t like to do it, but I would argue we, as The Vaudevillains, had a similar thing. We got up and then, meh. That was for multiple reasons.”

On the latest episode of his “Wrestling With Freddie” podcast, Freddie Prinze Jr. addressed Zelina Vega’s upcoming SmackDown Women’s Championship match against Rhea Ripley at WWE Backlash.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On Vega’s match with Ripley: “In front of her people dude, she has to go through that monster. Talk about making you lose in your own town. We love you Zelina but you need backup. You need like six people to go in there with you.”

On WWE not mentioning Vega’s previous win over Ripley: “I’m guessing the powers that be didn’t want to mention Rhea losing ever. Cause she’s their one right now. For sure, with Charlotte Flair taking a break […] she’s their one. So they’re building her to be great.”

On his prediction for the match: “Rhea’s gonna win straight up. She might do something a little dirty, but the finisher and the pin will be straight up.”
