For the first time in over three months, Mercedes Martinez made her return to NXT on Wednesday’s episode, as she attacked NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai.
Martinez was last seen on the September 8th episode of NXT, when she lost a Steel Cage match to Rhea Ripley. She would then make her main roster debut in RETRIBUTION as “RETALIATION”, but was quietly removed from the group with little to no explanation given.
