During Saturday night’s ROH Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view event, Mercedes Martinez was able to defeat Serena Deeb via submission to retain her ROH Women’s World Championship. This match was given a lot of time and featured multiple counters.
Martinez will now go on to defend her title against Willow Nightingale, who earned a shot at the reigning champion on the Zero Hour pre-show.
Martinez’ first reign as ROH Women’s World Champion currently stands at 80 days.
