Mick Foley was recently interviewed by Wrestling Inc. to discuss several professional wrestling topics. The three-time WWE Champion was asked, if it were up to him, what he would change about professional wrestling today. Foley answered by saying he’d like to change the notion that talents need to perform spectacular maneuvers to put on a quality match:

“That is a tough question,” Foley said. “I think the perception that a match can only be great if it has spectacular moves or multiple false finishes. I think there’s more than one way to have a great match.

“I think Superstars are pigeon-holed into delivering what fans have come to expect of what a great match should be. So, I think it’s just a matter of conditioning people and having guys out there willing to take chances.”

Foley’s last regular occurrence on WWE TV came as the General Manager of Monday Night RAW. However, he was fired in a storyline as a way to write him off TV so he could undergo surgery. Now, WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle has been ushered into the role as Hall Of Fame GM for RAW.
