“The Hardcore Legend” Mick Foley was humbled and thankful for Randy Orton’s comments on RAW.
As we saw during the opening segment of this week’s episode of RAW, the majority of the RAW roster celebrated Randy Orton’s 20 years with WWE by sharing memories and commenting on Orton’s legacy in the company. Orton got on the microphone and spoke about how proud he is of his run in WWE. During his promo, Orton mentioned Mick Foley by stating the following:
“It’s because of Mick Foley that I became the Legend Killer”.
This of course is referencing back to Orton and Foley’s infamous match from Backlash 2004, which single-handily put Randy on the map as he went over Foley in a bloody “No Holds Barred” match.
Mick Foley would reply to Orton’s comments by saying,
“Thank you for the kind words, Randy. Wow, that was really nice.“
