Earlier today, WWE announced that Vince McMahon is stepping down as CEO and Chairman of WWE for the time being. In the meantime, Stephanie McMahon will be taking over as interim CEO and Chairwoman.
Following the news being announced, former WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James took to Twitter to congratulate Stephanie. She said,
“I believe you have trained for this role your whole life. Unfortunate of how you had to take over but there is no doubt in my mind you’re going to do an incredible job. I know how much you love this company and this business. Change is in the air. Congratulations Stephanie.”
Mickie James was released from WWE in April of 2021.
