Impact Wrestling’s Mike Bailey is a huge fan of the current wrestling landscape, declaring 2023 the best year the industry has ever seen.
Bailey, a former Impact X-Division Champion, signed with Impact in October 2021, after being offered a contract by Scott D’Amore following a match with Josh Alexander.
Bailey’s arrival in the promotion came after a five-year ban from entering the United States after he attempted to enter the country without a work visa.
Speaking to Sportskeeda, Bailey spoke about the current wrestling landscape. He said,
“Professional wrestling in 2023 is the best that it’s ever been. There’s all this discussion of, ‘What was the golden era of professional wrestling?’ And I am a firm believer that it is right now for so many reasons.”
“When I talk about wrestling being the best it’s ever been, I think Canada is on the winning end of that right now.”
Bailey, who is Canadian, cited the massive amount of content and the more opportunities for someone to become a wrestler as reasons why this era surpasses all others.
