AEW star Miro is currently being promoted through a series of vignettes, in which he’s teasing a return to be stronger than ever.
The real reason behind his absence from the ring is an undisclosed injury that he’s carried for some time according to a report from Fightful.
Miro lost the TNT Championship to Sammy Guevara on September 29th, and back then it was already revealed that an injury might have been why he had dropped the belt not long after defending it at All Out against Eddie Kingston. The former WWE United States Champion worked two matches in November to replace Jon Moxley in the AEW Eliminator Tournament and lost the final to Bryan Danielson at Full Gear on November 13th. He has not wrestled since then.
