Miscellaneous MLW News and Notes: New Teams Incoming?, CONTRA Merch

The following news and notes about MLW come from the most recent MLW Newsletter:

  • The boss is overseas. Court Bauer is squeezing in an international business trip prior to next Thursday’s stacked Never Say Never card in New York City. We can confirm MLW’s CEO and founder is meeting with promoters and TV networks. More details as they become available…
  • League scouts are looking at adding a few prospects to the tag team division.
  • Matchmakers are already underway with talks for some big bouts as MLW presents its first-ever pay-per-view November 2 live from Chicago’s Cicero Stadium. Rumor has it three “huge” bouts are under contract pending signatures for Saturday Night SuperFight.  Tickets are on sale now for the PPV card.
  • CONTRA Unit merch – One request MLW has acquiesced to is reluctantly allowing CONTRA to use to sell T-shirts promoting their propaganda with 100% of the proceeds going to the shadowy organization.
  • Tom Lawlor is taking some personal time with his family back home in Nevada as he reconciles with losing the coveted championship. The former champ is also readying for his rematch in New York City on July 25 (buy tickets). Fatu claims the first win against Lawlor in over year with the Filthy One undefeated dating back to July 2018.
  • The August broadcast assignments are in from the league’s TV operations and the beloved Tony Schiavone will be back in the rotation joining Rich Bocchini calling the action on FUSION.
