0

The following news and notes about MLW come from the most recent MLW Newsletter:

  • Several MMA fighters have competed in Major League Wrestling over the years. Could another UFC fighter be headed into MLW in 2019? That’s the talk in certain circles.
  • In an update from last week, word out of the office of wrestling operations is that league officials are entering into extra innings as talks to sign an elite wrestler heat up. Will a deal get done? We may know very soon.
  • Salina de la Renta appeared on Univision’s national deportes segment this Monday to promote the self-described “groundbreaking” episode of MLW Fusion that she is producing this coming week. This Friday morning the empresaria will appear on SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio in New York City.
  • Top-ranked German wrestler “Avalanche” Robert Dreissker will be the next to step up and fight “Filthy” Tom Lawlor for the coveted World Heavyweight Championship.  Dreissker comes into the big bout with an impressive list of wins in Europe for the wXw promotion where the power wrestler has dominated all opposition.  Dreissker made his MLW debut at the 2019 Battle Riot.
  • Almost three years since he signed off with his final podcast on the MLW Radio Network, Konnan is returning home where he began his podcasting career. Starting next week fans will be able to hear Konnan back on the MLW airwaves where he will keep it 100 with his crew as they talk wrestling and other sports, pop culture and drop truth bombs along the way.
  • There’s a tease of splitting Low Ki and Salina de la Renta – A source close to Low Ki claims he is becoming increasingly frustrated with Salina de la Renta’s lack of focus on his upcoming fights and their lingering contract talks. Reportedly, Low Ki/Promociones Dorado contractual pact expires soon.
