Newly-crowned AEW World Champion MJF appeared on Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite to explain how he and William Regal came together, as Regal helped him win the AEW World Title from Jon Moxley at Full Gear 2022.
MJF also introduced the new Burberry AEW World Title that he’ll be wearing, trashing the original one. He also made a reference to WWE’s Triple H and Nick Khan when referring to the great bidding war of 2024. MJF suggested that he’d use the AEW World Title as a bargaining chip.
He vowed to make the World Title reigns of other great champions such as Hulk Hogan, Jeff Jarrett, and JBL look short compared to his. MJF closed out the segment by attacking William Regal with brass knuckles, saying he made a deal with the devil, and things have changed. As MJF left, Bryan Danielson came out to check on Regal. The segment led to Regal being written off AEW television via a stretcher angle.
