During Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho and The Inner Circle held a “War Council” meeting to discuss the group’s status following a disastrous performance at AEW Revolution, as Jericho and MJF failed to capture the AEW Tag-Team Championships. As the group were discussing the changes that could make the faction even stronger, Sammy Guevara made his return and showed Jericho a video where MJF was shown telling Santana, Ortiz, and Jake Hager that it was time to remove Jericho from the group.
MJF then told the guys to attack Jericho, but instead, everyone sided with Jericho and kicked MJF out of the group. Then, MJF revealed that all along, he was building his own group. The lights would go out, then come back on, to reveal his new stable consisting of, FTR, Tully Blanchard, Shawn Spears and Wardlow. MJF’s new stable would begin to attack and decimate The Inner Circle. Santana and Ortiz were handcuffed. Jericho was also busted wide open, then carried to the stage where he was powerbombed off it by Wardlow, as MJF and his new faction stood tall to end the show.
