Two-time WWE Women’s Champion Molly Holly was subject to some of Jerry Lawler’s sexually charged one-liners during the Attitude Era, but she never held it against him. On a particular episode of WWE TV, Holly recalled that she was showing extra cleavage and Lawler had remarked, “Wow, Molly is really pouring her heart out.”
During a recent Highspots Sign It Livestream, Molly noted that she never took issue with Lawler’s quips as the commentator was simply doing his job. She said:
“I have always liked Jerry and I knew that he had a job to do and he did his job well. I didn’t particularly care of the things he said, but I never held that against him personally. His job was to entertain the demographic that was watching the show and at the time, that was all culturally acceptable and funny. No problems with it even though I would have rather they talk about my athleticism. It was what it was for the time.”
