There have been reports that some WWE officials think it’s time for Montez Ford to break out on his own and become a singles star.
The Street Profits will challenge The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles at SummerSlam next Saturday.
While promoting the match, Ford was interviewed for Sports Illustrated’s ‘This Week in Wrestling’ column and was asked about breaking into the singles division. He said,
“The difference between singles wrestling and being part of a tag team is that all the attention is on you. I’m not ready to shift my focus yet. There is still a lot left for me to attain with Dawkins. SummerSlam is a huge opportunity. We want to make that night special.”
