As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, Bray Wyatt was released from WWE earlier today. This comes after there were plans in place for Wyatt to return next month.
According to a report from Fightful, there were creative plans already in place for Wyatt’s return to WWE television. Just minutes before the official announcement of Wyatt’s release was made online, a notification was sent to many WWE talent. The reason noted was that it was due to budget cuts.
During another recent round of cuts, Bray Wyatt’s name had been brought up but they ultimately decided to keep him around. As a matter of fact, multiple wrestlers were being discussed but wound up being kept.
WWE’s creative team was told in recent months that Wyatt was “getting protective of his character” and thought there were numerous “poor creative decisions and ideas” being presented to him. With that being said, most of the current members of the creative team didn’t talk to him directly and don’t know if that was just hearsay.
