More Backstage News on WWE’s Decision to Nix 205 Live This Week

UPDATE: As noted earlier here on eWn, the decision to cancel this week’s WWE 205 Live broadcast was made in order to focus on SmackDown!’s debut. Starting next week, things will go back to normal.

In addition to that, the WWE 205 Live roster was brought to the taping and were preparing for their matches when they were told of the decision. It was said to have been very “last minute.”

ORIGINAL: According to John Pollock of Post Wrestling, WWE made a very last-minute decision and will not be taping a new episode of “205 Live” following tonight’s WWE SmackDown! Live TV tapings from the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA.

WWE had previously announced that Tony Nese vs. Humberto Carrillo and Brian Kendrick vs. Akira Tozawa would take place on a new show tonight. Those announcements have since been deleted from and it appears the WWE Network will be airing a replay of last week’s show instead.
