According to Fightful Select, more backstage details on the introduction of RAW Underground have been revealed. WWE was still filming content for RAW Underground for next week’s show until midnight EST on Monday.
Shane McMahon was the host of the Underground segments. Some other unknown hosts were also suggested. With regards to the name of “Underground,” the term “Underground” was thrown around a lot by WWE creative and finally came to light with this new project.
The RAW Underground segments featured Shane McMahon hosting “underground” shoot-style “fights” that weren’t actually shoot fights in a ropeless ring somewhere backstage at the WWE Performance Center. MVP’s Hurt Business stable took over the Underground and declared that it was under new management.
