There was some pretty low attendance for last night’s (Sun. June 23, 2019) WWE Stomping Grounds pay-per-view (PPV). The show took place from the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington.
Half of the seating at the arena was tarped off. However, there was a decent line for walk-up tickets before the show, and a lot of tickets were given out for free beforehand. According to DEFY Wrestling’s Matt Farmer, there were about 6,000 fans in attendance. This would be the lowest number for a WWE PPV in a while.
Farmer added there were “tons” of comped tickets, and a lot of 2 for 1 ticket deals were sold as well. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, however, notes that the attendance was around 4,000 – 4,500 fans. He added tickets were being given away at the mall earlier that day. The Tacoma Dome holds 18,000 fans after production.
@davemeltzerWON maybe 6,000 in building. Tons of comps, 2 for 1's.
Probably smallest PPV crowd in a long time.
