As previously reported here on eWn, several people were suspended from AEW following the brawl between CM Punk, Ace Steel and The Elite. Names confirmed to be a part of the brawl were The Young Bucks, Pat Buck, Ace Steel, Christopher Daniels, Michael Nakazawa, and Brandon Cutler. Punk did not appear on last night’s Dynamite and his world title was vacated.

During the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, it was reported that CM Punk has been suspended. An investigation into the incident is being carried out, but everyone who was involved in the brawl have been suspended. Further determinations on talents’ futures are pending based on the conclusion of the investigation. One source stated “determinations will be made” after the investigation is carried out.

Several interviews are being conducted to obtain further clarity on the incident, as investigators dredge through the multiple accounts of the incident. As we reported here on eWn, the brawl was incited by CM Punk’s media scrum comments. Expectations are for the investigation to last awhile due to investigations of this magnitude usually lasting “longer than a couple of weeks.”

Dave Meltzer added that AEW is unlikely to make the details of the incident public. It was evident as neither of the suspended parties were mentioned on Dynamite last night and were stripped of their titles without explanation.
