As we previously reported here on eWn, a backstage NWA talent meeting was held last month. The meeting was said to have “ruffled feathers.” Fightful Select has released some additional details on the meeting and the interpretations of how it was was received.
Several veterans and other talent were said to be present at the meeting. One of the topics discussed was about cleaning up the locker room. The impression was that the remark was meant to be directed at the extras, rather than the on-screen talent. Reportedly, one of the veterans who brought the matter up and was vocal in the meeting was Luke Hawx. It was noted that the folks present were divided on the issue, as some were bothered by the comment, while others supported it. Overall, there was no heat on Hawx following the meeting and the general feeling was that the meeting came off as a “waste of time.”
The names who spoke included Hawx, Jay Bradley, Sal Rinauro, and Caprice Coleman. NWA management was there too, but apparently did not speak up. Director of Talent Relations Pat Kenney showed up at the end of the meeting as everyone else was walking out. One wrestler said almost nobody even noticed Kenney arriving late.
