WWE will not air their upcoming show at Madison Square Garden despite promoting the event on this week’s RAW.
During RAW, Paul Heyman announced that WWE Champion Brock Lesnar will defend his title at the March 5 show against Bobby Lashley.
Pwinsider reports that the show will not be aired on either the WWE Network or Peacock and while footage will be recorded, it won’t be a full event.
“We are told the push tonight was in part to help sell tickets for WWE’s return to MSG as well as provide a storyline to help build towards Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania.”
Here is the line-up for the show so far:
- WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns with Paul Heyman vs. Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins
- WWE Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley
- Ronda Rousey & Sasha Banks vs. WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair & Natalya
- WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair
- Also advertised for WWE’s return are The New Day, RK-Bro, AJ Styles and The Usos.
Lashley has been announced for the event despite suffering a shoulder injury at the Royal Rumble.
Its reported that Lashley will miss four months of action including WrestleMania 38.
