According to Fightful, they have provided an update on the COVID-19 outbreak in WWE. A number of WWE Superstars and staff were tested positive, reportedly in the “two dozen” range. Several members of the WWE roster were not informed about the approximate numbers, including the number of those who tested positive for the virus.

Select WWE Superstars contacted Fightful anonymously to find out more on the recent positive test results, claiming that Fightful would “know better than them” in terms of these results. WWE isn’t supplying their talent any COVID-19 results and have kept it quiet, unless a talent in question has tested positive for the virus. WWE did however inform the roster through an internal memo of what had happened in terms of the COVID-19 positive results.

The talent roster were said to be very upset at how the company has handled everything. One Superstar said WWE should’ve held this testing after the tapings were over, rather than before. Kayla Braxton was previously diagnosed with the virus and contracted it again for a second time recently.

Multiple NXT Stars were tested again after being exposed by a roster member who had tested positive. Thankfully, everyone tested negative for the virus. The wrestlers were concerned about “small gatherings” taking place among the roster after the results turned out to be high. One thing that should be mentioned is the number of positive test results came from multiple departments rather than just one source.

Some WWE Superstars from the NXT side, along with Performance Center trainees, planned to skip the television tapings once the second COVID-19 test was conducted. WWE had told everyone to attend the tapings anyway, despite these stars reporting how they felt uncomfortable being there in the first place.

WWE is no longer going to allow friends or family members of their staff attend future TV tapings. Fightful did however report that WWE could change this in the future and allow it happen again. WrestlingINC claimed WWE talent relations had ““explicitly forbidden” from discussing their illnesses or anyone has positive COVID-19 results outside of the people that live in the household.
