— Umanosuke Ueda, a legendary Japanese heel who also worked in the United States as Mr. Ito, passed away today at the age of 71. Ueda is best known as the manager and tag team partner of Tiger Jeet Singh when Singh. This was during the time when Singh was one of the top heels in Japan in the 70s and 80s, both for New Japan and then later All Japan Pro Wrestling. During his time Ueda headlined against Hulk Hogan, Antonio Inoki, Stan Hansen, The Funk Brothers, Giant Baba, Jumbo Tsuruta, Genichiro Tenryu and Riki Choshu. On behalf of all of us here on the website, I would like to extend our condolences to the family, friends and fans of Mr. Ueda.

— The Kansas Expocentre in Topeka, Kansas is advertising a WWE Title Match between John Cena and Kane for the February 3rd RAW live event. CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio is also advertised.

— As noted before, WWE announcer Eden Stiles (Brandi Alexis Reed) revealed on Twitter that she has parted ways with the company. She has made it a point to note that she asked for her release and was not let go by WWE. She added that leaving WWE is the right move for her to move on as “Brandi.” Eden also revealed that she is dating WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes.

She asked for her release three weeks ago and was informed over the weekend that the request would be granted.
