As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, Billy Corgan pulled Nick Aldis from the NWA Worlds title match at NWA 74. Tyrus will be stepping in as a replacement. On an episode of “Busted Open Radio,” Corgan revealed that Aldis politicked for his spot. The latter would later go on to deny that was the case.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the decision to remove Aldis from the match was an attempt at a shoot angle. With that being said, there are some who believe real-life issues “ended up creeping in.”
As of this writing, there is no word on where things stand with Corgan, Aldis and the NWA.
