More On Kushida’s WWE Departure

UPDATE: In an update on Kushida’s WWE departure, Fightful is reporting that the early indications are that his deal expired.

As of this writing, there is no word on if he was offered a new contract.

Kushida’s last match with WWE came on March 22nd on NXT: Level Up. On his way out of the company, he lost his final four matches.

ORIGINAL: WWE NXT 2.0 Superstar Kushida has reportedly left the company.

According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE NXT Superstar Kushida has left WWE. Kushida signed with WWE in April of 2019 and made his first on-screen appearance at NXT TakeOver: New York.

During his time in the company, he held the NXT Cruiserweight Title from April of 2021 to September. He had most recently been working with Ikemen Jiro as the “Jacket Time” tag team. He was also involved in a feud with Von Wagner.

WWE has yet to officially make an announcement on Kushida’s departure at this time. We will have more information on this story as it continues to come in.
