As we reported today here on eWn, ten WWE NXT talents were released, including Dexter Lumis, Harland, Malcolm Bivens and Dakota Kai.
As of this writing, there are no details on Kai’s release. She signed with WWE in December of 2016 and was a two-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion with Raquel Gonzalez (Raquel Rodriguez). She also won the 2018 NXT Women’s Championship Invitational. We last saw her compete on WWE NXT 2.0 on the April 12th episode, where she lost an NXT Women’s Championship match to Mandy Rose.
According to a report from Fightful, WWE had been pushing Malcom Bivens to re-sign with the company last year. Eventually, a short extension of his deal was agreed upon.
Additionally, Bivens was asked about re-signing an extension in February and wasn’t interested in doing so this time around. Bivens signed with WWE in March of 2019 and was working as the mouthpiece for the Diamond Mine stable.
