We reported earlier this week here on eWn that two New Japan Pro Wrestling wrestlers tested positive for COVID-19. Due to this, they were pulled from the Wrestling Dontaku event on May 4.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, NJPW CEO Naoki Sugabayashi came out during the show and announced that Kazuchika Okada, Sho, Yoh, Minoru Suzuki, El Desperado, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru had all been removed from the show.
With that being said, only one of those wrestlers was sick. The reason for the other five being pulled was because they were in close contact with the sixth wrestler.
The wrestler who originally tested positive is believed to be either Gabriel Kidd or Yuya Uemura.
