We reported last week here on eWn that WWE officials were interested in signing Moose when his contract with Impact Wrestling was coming to an end. Moose later confirmed the reports and wound up signing a new two-year deal with Impact Wrestling instead.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE reaching out to wrestlers when their contracts are coming to an end is nothing new. In the case of Moose, WWE was “looking at NXT first”, and that led him to turning their offer down and re-upping with Impact Wrestling instead.
