As we reported earlier today here on eWn, WWE has made a change to their marijuana policy.

According to a report from Fightful, WWE Superstars actually haven’t been fined for using marijuana for “years” now.

Multiple sources in the company are adamant that nobody has been fined or suspended for the use of marijuana in several years. While the company used to issue stiff fines to talents who tested positive for weed, they wouldn’t be suspended. This is no longer the case and it’s been that way for awhile now.

While WWE talents are still regularly tested for everything else, there are no fines or suspensions for marijuana use.

Randy Orton, Riddle, and Kona Reeves have all been very outspoken about WWE’s now-former marijuana policy.

Additionally, one higher-up in the company said the following, “I haven’t even heard anyone as much as gossip over one of the boys or girls smoking weed in years, much less a fine being handed down for it. A lot of the perception has changed, and a lot of what Bret was talking about way back when ended up ringing true. I don’t expect us to come out with WWE themed cannabis incense any time soon, but the policy has been relaxed and we’ve used a lot of that culture in our storylines.”

It should be noted that WWE’s corporate website still lists a fine of $2,500 per positive marijuana test.
