Mustafa Ali keeps waiting for his release from WWE, but it looks like he’s not very optimistic about it as he stated on Twitter by saying “see you in 2 1/2 years“.
This could be a hint at the time that is left on his current WWE contract, as the company refuses to release him despite the recent firings of many wrestlers. The wrestler has been very clear on his desire to leave WWE, but there is the risk that he will be forced to sit out through the entirety of his contract.
He had already tweeted about wanting to be released, after #FreeAli became a trend in the days following his public request on January 16th. His last match took place on October 29th, a quick loss to Drew McIntyre.
