MVP may consider himself the boss of the Hurt Business, but the former United States Champion realizes that there’s only one person in charge of WWE.
Returning to WWE in 2020 initially as a producer, MVP has become an on-screen talent as a manager, with the Hurt Business being his most popular clientele.
Speaking with Josh Martinez of Superstar Crossover, MVP was asked about Vince McMahon’s decision to split the group in 2021. He said,
“Vince McMahon makes decisions and that’s way above my pay grade. The decision that he made. Why did he choose to do it? I have no idea. It was his choice, he’s the boss.”
In recent weeks, WWE has teased the reunion of the Hurt Business, something that MVP is certainly on-board with. He added,
“I’m doing my best to try to get the team back together. Bobby’s being a little stubborn, but I got Shelton and Cedric back on board with me and I’m trying to get Bobby to come around. We’ll see if we can get The Hurt Business back in business.”
WWE reunited the Hurt Business in late 2021 for Lashley’s feud with Goldberg but split the group again not long after.
