In the opening segment of Smackdown LIVE, it was revealed that the injury Naomi suffered in her victory over Alexa Bliss at Elimination Chamber will not allow her to defend the Smackdown Women’s Championship within thirty days. Daniel Bryan then forced Naomi to relinquish the championship.
Alexa Bliss then subsequently pinned Becky Lynch to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship, making her the first 2-time Smackdown Women’s Champion.
