During Friday night’s ROH 19th Anniversary pay-per-view event, a new Ring of Honor World Television Champion was crowned, as Tracy Williams defeated Kenny King. The match ended after Williams hit a piledriver on King to get the 1, 2, 3.
As previously reported here on eWn, King was a replacement for TV Champion Dragon Lee, who suffered a ruptured eardrum. If King had won the match, Lee would have retained the title. Due to Williams’ win, Lee’s title reign ends at 469 days. As you’d likely expect, this is leading to a Kenny King vs. Dragon Lee feud. The win marks Williams’ first title reign in ROH.
