There seem to be some rumors going around that Dean Ambrose could be sticking around with WWE. This comes from Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live. It should be stressed that Alvarez reported this as rumors going around, and nothing more.
WWE announced several weeks ago that Dean Ambrose (using his real name, Jonathan Good) would not be returning to the company:
“Dean Ambrose (Jonathan Good) will not be renewing his contract with WWE when it expires in April. We are grateful and appreciative of all that Dean has given to WWE and our fans. We wish him well and hope that one day Dean will return to WWE.”
Ambrose reportedly turned down a seven-figure, five-year deal from WWE and has been unhappy with his position in the company for some time now. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio has reported that WWE officials have discussed giving Ambrose a push on his way out to hopefully change his mind.
WWE would like to avoid letting any of their big names go, especially with AEW now in the mix. WWE also hopes that the return of Roman Reigns motivates Ambrose to stay as well.
