We have a new AEW TNT Champion following Saturday night’s “Battle of the Belts II” event.
During the opening match of “Battle of the Belts II”, Sammy Guevara defeated Scorpio Sky to capture the title.
It should be noted that Sammy seemed to be acting as a heel as the match went on, as he received some help from Tay Conti. The finish came when Guevara hit a low blow on Sky and then hit him with the GTH. Paige VanZant also came to the ring and brawled with Conti.
Sammy Guevara is now a three-time TNT Champion. Sky’s run comes to an end at 37 days.
