During Saturday night’s NWA EmPowerrr pay-per-view event, the NWA crowned new women’s tag-team champions for the first time in nearly forty years.
During the show, we saw Allysin Kay and Marti Belle (The Hex) defeat Hell on Heels and then Red Velvet and KiLynn King to win a tournament to capture the titles. Madusa officially presented The Hex with the belts.
The last time the titles were active was May 23, 1983, as Wendi Richter and Joyce Grable defeated Penny Mitchell and Velvet McIntyre. In April 4, 1984, the belts were deactivated.
