During tonight’s edition of Monday Night Raw, the identity of WWE’s newest Championship was revealed by Mick Foley; the WWE 24/7 Championship. It means exactly what the title implies, in that it will be defended 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In addition, it is open to the entire rosters from Raw, Smackdown, 205 Live, NXT, NXT UK, and even Legends. The rules will be similar to the old WWE Hardcore Championship, meaning the title can change hands anywhere at any time, so long as a referee is present. Mick Foley announced a championship scramble would take place, which was eventually won by Titus O’Neil.
However, his reign wouldn’t last long, as Robert Roode caught him by surprise with a rollup pin. Before the main event, R-Truth surprised Robert Roode in the parking lot, defeating him to become the reigning WWE 24/7 Champion.
