News & Notes From Last Night’s TNA Impact TV Tapings


– It was said that Kurt Angle and Taz did a promo before the show at last night’s Impact! TV Tapings. Angle talked about TNA going back to their roots with the six-sided ring. He also said that TNA was in New York City to completely reboot the company.

Angle also brought up that TNA has realized their problems and have made several mistakes, but going forward that those mistakes will not happen. He also brought up that AJ Styles and Motor City Machine Guns, along with other talents made TNA what it is today.

– It was announced that TNA Tag Team Champions The Wolves will defend their titles against Minoru Tanaka and Koji Kanemoto and Sanada vs. The Great Muta is also scheduled to take place at Wrestle-1’s July 6th event in Tokyo, Japan.

– As far as the crowd in NYC, according to live reports sent in, it was said that the crowd was tame and not over the top in chants. The only match that got negative chants was  Brittney Vs. Madison Rayne, which got “This match sucks” chant. Also, when the Great Muta came out, he got almost no reaction from the crowd.

Finally, There were said to be chants for CM Punk, John Cena, ROH and others.
