Adam Cole’s WWE NXT contract is slated to expire later this month after SummerSlam. The original deal expired after the Great American Bash show, but he signed an extension.
Fightful Select reports WWE and Cole wanted to keep things quiet, but word had spread throughout the company by the end of July.
It was added that WWE has yet to offer Cole a new long-term contract, but the expectation is that a formal agreement will be offered.
