It’s been over two years since WWE NXT has held any non-televised live events. The COVID-19 pandemic prevented the brand from venturing up and down the Florida area as it used to. It was reported in March that the brand would return to touring soon and that dates were already set. Now, fans can rejoice as WWE NXT 2.0 has kicked off their return to going on the road, and they even brought out the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels.
Michaels, who’s the lead producer for NXT, welcomed the Tampa, FL audience in attendance for last night’s event. Along with the special surprise of Michaels appearing, the fans were also treated to a match between NXT Champion Bron Breakker and Grayson Waller. Breakker defeated Waller, and afterwards got on the microphone and sent a message of appreciation to the audience.

WWE NXT is scheduled to make stops in Jacksonville, Melbourne, and more in the coming weeks. The next big event for NXT 2.0 will be the Great American Bash on Tuesday, July 5th on the USA network.
