Should Brock Lesnar decide to leave WWE in favor of a return to UFC, it would leave Paul Heyman’s WWE status “up in the air,” per a report from Ringside News. It’s believed Heyman won’t want to go back to working weekly WWE TV events should Lesnar decide to leave the company. Lesnar’s WWE contract worked out nicely for Heyman as he was able to have a lot of time off and focus on non-professional wrestling ventures.
Many fans have wanted Heyman to start advocating for Ronda Rousey now that she’s with WWE, but it’s unknown if the company wants to mix Heyman and Stephanie McMahon (something they’ve avoided as of late) since she’s currently feuding with “The Rowdy One.” Dave Meltzer recently reported WWE wants to book Rousey vs. McMahon similar to the way they did “Stone Cold” Steve Austin vs. Vince McMahon. This would mean there is really no place for Heyman in the feud since Austin never had representation.
