Nigel McGuinness is no longer with WWE.
The departure came earlier this week, according to reports from Pwinsider and Fightful. He has yet to comment publicly on his departure.
McGuinness was a top Ring of Honor star in the early days of the promotion and worked with the likes of Bryan Danielson, Takeshi Morishima, Austin Aries, Jay Briscoe, Tyler Black, and others. He is a former ROH World Heavyweight and Pure Champion.
He later had a run in Impact Wrestling before retiring in 2011. McGuinness signed with WWE back in 2016, where he worked as a commentator for NXT, NXT UK, Main Event, and 205 Live.
His departure comes at a time when WWE changed up its commentary teams.
