Nigel McGuinness Makes His First Public Comments Since WWE Release


After being released from WWE last October, Nigel McGuinness waited until today to break his silence.

His departure came at a time when WWE changed up its commentary teams.


McGuinness was a top Ring of Honor star in the early days of the promotion and worked with the likes of Bryan Danielson, Takeshi Morishima, Austin Aries, Jay Briscoe, Tyler Black, and others. He is a former ROH World Heavyweight and Pure Champion.

He later had a run in Impact Wrestling before retiring in 2011. McGuinness signed with WWE back in 2016, where he worked as a commentator for NXT, NXT UK, Main Event, and 205 Live.

McGuinness made his first public comments by posting the following on his Twitter account:
