Kazuchika Okada has successfully defended his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship title, triumphing over Hiroshi Tanahashi in the main event of NJPW Battle in the Valley.
Employing his signature move, the Rainmaker, Okada emerged victorious by pinning his arch adversary. Following the intense contest, the recently crowned IWGP Women’s Champion, Mercedes Mone, made her way to the ring to join him.
Okada’s championship reign has reached a span of 46 days, having beaten Jay White to win the title at Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 4th.
