NJPW already has a presence on US television through the Roku Channel. That deal sees them stream old matches from the company.
However, Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that New Japan Pro Wrestling is “very close” to getting a US television deal.
It should be noted that it’s not said to be a “major” one. NJPW believes they need a TV deal in this country if they want to draw fans to their Strong brand, which is strictly for the US market.
