NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 News – KONGO Confronts LIJ Backstage, Keiji Muto Victorious

Los Ingobernables de Japon suffered a defeat at the hands of Keiji Muto, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Shota Umino at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 in Tokyo Dome. BUSHI was decimated by the rival team as each member got a piece of the former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion before Umino nailed him with the Death Rider to score the pinfall victory.

The bout marked Keiji Muto’s final match for NJPW. The veteran star donned his Great Muta gimmick for the final time in a losing effort against Shinsuke Nakamura at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s ‘The New Year’ this past Sunday.

The two teams previously clashed on Night 3 of Wrestle Kingdom 2022. At that Yokohama Arena event, BUSHI, Hiromu Takahshi, SANADA, Naito and Shingo Takagi defeated Nakajima, KENOH, Manabu Soya, Tadasuke & Aleja.
